Primary focuses of charitable giving for the Alaska USA Foundation

ANCHORAGE, Alaska— Children are the most vulnerable members of society and one of the primary focuses of charitable giving for the Alaska USA Foundation. For 16 years, the Alaska USA Foundation has been committed to serving children in the communities it serves with $26,000 being donated this year to four nonprofits.

$10,000 was donated to Kids Kupboard, whose mission is to end child hunger with sustainable, grassroots, child-centered strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption throughout Mat-Su Valley.

$10,000 was donated to the Children’s Hospital at Providence, which provides state-of-the-art medical treatment for Alaska's newborns, children, and their families.

$3,500 was donated to Kids’ Corps, Inc., in support of their programs which include Head Start, Early Head Start, Anchorage School District Collaborative and Parents as Teachers. Kids’ Corps, Inc., mission is to provide a high quality, comprehensive program to children and families which promotes sound intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth.

$2,500 was donated to Aid to Adoption of Special Kids, one of the largest foster care agencies in Arizona, with a mission to ensure every child in foster care has someone who cares deeply about them. “The Alaska USA Foundation is deeply committed to helping children in need,” said Dan McCue, Executive Director, Alaska USA Foundation.
