2027 Election information

The 2027 election will be carried out by mail ballot and will fill 2 three-year term positions on the Board of Directors. Ballots will be mailed to members in April 2027 (if applicable), and the election results will be announced at the 2027 Annual Meeting scheduled for May 19.

The Nominating Committee has nominated the following candidates for the offices indicated:

Board of Directors
Two, 3-year term positions

Berthiaume, Kent: Retired military and civil servant, with over 44 years’ experience in comptrollership. Graduate of Wayland Baptist University with a degree in business administration. Global Credit Union member since 1995. Member of the Board of Directors since 2016, having served previously as Secretary and Treasurer, and currently as Board Chair since 2021. Previously served on the Supervisory Committee for six years and as Chairman for four years. National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions certified volunteer expert since 2016. Externally contributes to the Advisory Board for ALM First, is an Air Force Delegate for the Defense Credit Union Council Military Advocacy Committee, and is a member of the National Association of Credit Union Chairs.

Wood, Craig: Retired Air Force with 30 years’ experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, logistics, and contracting. Also worked as a Licensed Agent in the insurance and financial services industry. Bachelor’s degree in business management from Park University and a master’s degree in leadership from Liberty University. Global Credit Union member since 1998. Member of the Board of Directors since 2021. Previously served on the Supervisory Committee for eight years. Externally contributes to community mentoring programs and is on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Hope Center.

Other members interested in becoming candidates can qualify by the petition method. Official petition forms must be used, and will be available on November 2, 2026, at any Global Credit Union branch, or by calling 907-802-2163. The signatures and account numbers of at least 500 members are required in order to qualify as a candidate by the petition method. Petitions must be returned to the credit union by December 4, 2026.
