2024 election information
The 2024 election will be carried out by mail ballot and will fill 2 three-year term positions on the Board of Directors. Ballots will be mailed to members from mid-March through mid-April 2024, and the election results will be announced at the 2024 Annual Meeting scheduled for May 22, 2024.
The Nominating Committee has nominated the following candidates for the offices indicated:
Board of Directors
2 three-year term positions:
Berthiaume, Kent: Global Credit Union member since 1995. Member of the Board of Directors since 2016, having served previously as Secretary and Treasurer, and currently as Board Chair since 2021. Previously served on the Supervisory Committee for six years and as Chairman for four years. Additional volunteer positions include Global CU Compensation Committee (Chair); Enterprise Risk Management Committee (Chair); Global CU Foundation (Vice Chair). Retired Military with 27 years of Comptrollership with experience in Finance, Accounting, Cost Analysis and Budgeting. Currently employed by Air Force Civil Service as a Resource Manager. Member of the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC). NAFCU certified volunteer expert since 2016. Has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wayland Baptist University.
Wood, Craig: Global Credit Union member since 1998, member of the Board of Directors since 2021. Previously served on the Supervisory Committee for eight years. Retired Air Force with 30 years’ experience in Finance, Accounting, Budgeting, Logistics and Contracting. Also worked as a Licensed Agent in the Insurance and Financial Services Industry. Has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Park University and a master’s degree in leadership from Liberty University.
Other members interested in becoming candidates can qualify by the petition method. Official petition forms must be used, and will be available on November 1, 2023, at any Global branch, or by calling 907-786-2751. The signatures and account numbers of at least 500 members are required in order to qualify as a candidate by the petition method. Petitions must be returned to the credit union by December 4, 2023.
If no additional candidates qualify by petition, the slate of candidates will remain as proposed by the Nominating Committee. If there is only one candidate for each position, the election will not be conducted by mail ballot and, as long as there is at least one candidate for each position, there will be no floor nominations.
