Renovate without refinancing

Home improvements can be a great way to enhance the value of your home. Our Second Mortgage Home Improvement Loan is a fantastic option for remodeling your home—providing up to $500,000 for improvements!

  • Licensed, bonded contractors are only required on loans above $50,000.
  • Loan amount is based on the “after-improved” value, increasing the amount of renovation funds available.
  • Up to 12 months to complete the renovations.
  • Draw up to 10% of the loan amount at closing.

Think twice before providing personal information

Fraudsters will impersonate financial institutions, government agencies, trusted merchants—anyone they think will get you to let your guard down. It pays to have a healthy dose of skepticism before you reply to any phone calls, emails, or text messages. Remember:

  • There is no reasonable reason why someone else would need your username and password—not just to your online banking info, but to ANYTHING.
  • No legitimate caller will ask you to do something urgently or right away—they simply don’t want you to take the time to think it through.
  • There is never an innocent reason why someone would send you money and ask you to send money somewhere else or back to them.
  • Only someone with ill intentions would ask you to buy a gift card and ask you to send them the information on the back.
  • If someone is telling you to mislead your bank, there should be no doubt in your mind it’s fraud.

So how do you handle these situations if they arise? When you receive a call from any organization, we recommend getting the caller’s name and department and then hanging up. Look up the phone number yourself and call back if it’s the real deal.

You should also check your accounts regularly. If you find an unauthorized transaction, report it to your financial institution right away.

Be cautious using person-to-person payment methods (Zelle, Venmo, Cash App). You should only use these to send money to people you know and trust. If you’ve only met someone online—think long and hard before sending them any money.
