Anchorage, AK – The Global Credit Union Foundation donated $55,000 to community nonprofits that operate in Alaska as part of the Foundation’s 2025 quarterly distribution of funds to its nonprofit partners in areas served by the credit union.
"Nonprofits like the ones we have partnered with are truly transformative to Alaska communities,” said Noël Gabler, Executive Director, Global Credit Union Foundation. "They provide services to Alaskans who might otherwise fall through the cracks. We can’t thank them enough for their dedication.”
Recipients of funds include:
$25,000 Big Brother Big Sisters of Alaska to help in their mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships for military individuals and children of military families. This connection helps ignite the power and promise of youth.
$10,000 to Stand Down Alaska, an organization that provides supplies and services to homeless and at-risk-to-be homeless Veterans.
$20,000 to Covenant House Alaska, the state’s largest nonprofit organization supporting homeless, trafficked, and at-risk youth. They offer a safe place and comprehensive services to help youth ages 13-24 achieve stability, independence, and success.
