Advantage Pay

With the Advantage Pay privilege you won't have to worry your transaction might be returned if you're low on funds in your checking account. Before Advantage Pay is activated, we'll transfer funds from your savings account or other accounts you've designated. If funds aren't available, we'll cover your overdrafts up to $1000 which helps you avoid returned check fees, protect your credit rating, and avoid embarrassment.

Isn't overdrawing my account a bad thing?

Well, it's not a good thing, but we understand that mistakes happen. That's why we offer Advantage Pay. We know that good people make mistakes and we're here to help.

How do I get it?

There are some simple qualifications. If you are at least 18 years old and have a checking account in good standing, you already have it for most transactions. If you would like to add Advantage Pay for your one-time debit transactions just click on this Cover My Card link to enroll.

How do I use it?

For most transactions Advantage Pay will be activated automatically. If you have enrolled in Advantage Pay for your debit card, Advantage Pay will activate for those automatically too.

How will I know when I've had an overdraft?

Global Credit Union will mail you a notice that Advantage Pay has been activated. We'll even give you a date range for repayment.

How do I repay you?

You should bring your account positive on or before the 30th day from the date of the initial overdraft. Any deposits received while your account is overdrawn will be applied first to your overdrawn checking balance.

What if I exceed my limit?

If you exceed the Advantage Pay Limit of $1000, your items will not be paid and will be returned. Our standard NSF fee will be assessed.

What if I cannot bring my account to a positive balance?

If you cannot bring your account to a positive balance within the 30 day repayment period, your Advantage Pay privileges will be suspended or revoked and collection procedures will be initiated.
