Thursday, Oct. 19, over 157 million credit union members in over 42,000 credit unions worldwide will celebrate International Credit Union Day.
Because credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives, their focus has always been on service to members. At one credit union, this may mean refinancing a member’s car at a lower rate. At another, a member might be taking out a $400 loan to get through tight times. Credit unions provide the services members request—from student loans, to car loans, to first mortgages. No need is too big or too small.
This year, we invite you to celebrate the credit union difference, our proud heritage, and the wonderful opportunities for dreams and achievements that credit union membership has offered for more than 150 years.
