Mechanical Repair Coverage (MRC) helps pay for covered repairs on your car when that unexpected breakdown occurs. For a few dollars a month, you can protect your vehicle and your finances from expenses that could total hundreds or even thousands of dollars! Purchasing MRC on a vehicle that is still covered by the manufacturer’s warranty provides you with the most convenient, cost-effective way to ensure uninterrupted protection and peace of mind if you own the vehicle after the manufacturer’s warranty expires.
On the date of purchase, the MRC plan starts protecting you immediately from the cost and inconvenience of covered breakdowns, with the plan’s 24-hour roadside assistance, towing, and emergency travel expense and rental reimbursement. The coverage complements your manufacturer’s warranty because the roadside assistance and travel expense reimbursement can be used immediately, even if your vehicle breaks down during the manufacturer’s warranty period. Later on down the road, your protection continues seamlessly after your manufacturer’s warranty expires.
Coverage is available for any eligible vehicle up to ten years old and with 100,000 miles or less.
Coverage can be purchase when you buy your vehicle, when you take out a loan at our credit union to purchase your vehicle, or if you refinance your loan from another institution at our credit union. You can also purchase coverage other than at the time of the loan as long as the vehicle has at least one month and 1,000 miles remaining on the manufacturer’s full warranty on the date you purchase the Mechanical Repair Agreement/Insurance Policy.
Silver, Gold & Platinum Protection
There is nationwide protection and the coverage is transferable if you sell your vehicle before your agreement expires. There are three plans available-the main features of each plan are listed below.

Gold Protection Plan
The Gold plan covers the following components and parts, in addition to those listed under the Silver Protection Plan.

- Power seat, windows and door lock motors, transmissions, and power regulators

- Digital and analog instrument displays
- Fuel, Coolant and oil sensors
- Electronic rear view mirror and headlight motors
- Heated back glass
- Windshield wiper washer pumps
- Heater-A/C blower motors, core assembly and control valve
- Radiator to include fan and clutch, fan motor and blade
- Temperature sensor and relay
- Fuel tank and hard lines
- Fuel tank sending unit
- Power sun roof motor
- Convertible top motor
- Constant velocity joints
- Horn assembly
Platinum Protection Plan
The Platinum plan covers all the components and parts listed in the Silver and Gold plans and virtually all other mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle unless the part is specifically listed as “not covered”. Also specifically excluded are normal maintenance and service items.
